Ellie, a school principal, is attempting to move out of an abrusive marriage in my new comtemporary novel. She meets up with Wyatt on a remote beach in Wairarapa on the south-eastern coast of New Zealand’s North Island. He owns a historic homestead that has been in his family for over three generations. His recently divorced wife is attempting to claim half the homestead value in a divorce settlement.
